Holiday Surf and Racquet Unit 103

Welcome to “Shore Thing” where it is a sure thing that you are just steps away from the beautiful beach in unit 103.

This rustic, newly renovated, one bedroom unit can sleep up to 4 or 5 guest comfortably. The private master bedroom has a king-sized bed with a brand-new comfortable mattress, and a 55” TV for your viewing pleasure. For additional guest, custom-built bunk beds are provided, which offers built in lights and outlets to charge electronic devices. Brand new mattresses are provided in the bunks, and a roll away trundle is also available if needed.

In the beautiful, completely remodeled kitchen, you will find all stainless-steel appliances and quartz countertops. The kitchen is equip with everything you need if you decide to prepare a meal during your stay. A quaint dining room area is available, or you can sit and sip your coffee at the bar to begin your day. The living room has brand new sofa and cozy chair to watch your favorite shows on the 65” television.

Step outside on the private balcony, where you can sit and relax on comfortable high-top chairs, or rock away on the rockers! You will be spoiled because you have straight access to the beach, pool, shuffle boards, and tennis courts from your private balcony gate!

Shore Thing’s sandpiper, beach-themed unit will provide you a cozy feel and hopefully make your vacation stay wonderful and relaxing. So please come stay with us and “Let the waves hit your feet, and the sand be your seat.”

Unit was exceptional and very clean. Very nice furnishings and newly remodeled. The property description is perfect and property is maintained and clean. This was the first time staying in 103 and really enjoyed it. Only drawback is you are unable to see the beach and water due to the sand dunes. We enjoy sitting on the balcony and looking out over the water. We have stayed at Holiday Surf and Racquet Club several times and have never been disappointed. If unit 103 had a gulf view, we would probably stay there every year. If a gulf view is not a priority, I would suggest unit 103.The umbrella and chair service is a plus. An excellent place to eat is Boshamps.

I’ve stayed at this facility before, but this room
Was exceptional! Lower floor and remodeled. All amenities were provided except salt and pepper shakers and the bed needs to be cleaned underneath. :(. We dropped something and looked under and it’s filthy. But you couldn’t see anything unless you looked. The place is wonderful, and I highly recommend it!!!!

Amazing

Room was immaculate. It’s newly renovated so I hope it stays this clean. Felt like home. Only downfall was a crowded beach and laundry access. There are 2 floors for laundry. I was waiting over an hour to put my stuff in the dryer because of people that left their laundry in dryers.

Great Getaway

We loved the price we paid for the condo on the beach! The property staff were very kind and courteous and helpful during our stay. We would have liked for the dry sauna to have been opened, but it is still closed due to covid. The staff set out plenty of umbrellas and beach chairs on the sunny days so we were able to get a chair even though we went out at 11:30am. We had a bit of a bug issue that we brought to their attention that we hoped they took care of before it was rented to the next guest. Even with that episode, we will definitely be back again to stay at the Holiday Surf and Racquet Club!

Everything was great. Weather worked out. Beach was amazing. Julian was by far the best beach assistant I have experienced in my 10+ yrs coming to Holiday Surf. I was disappointed with rm 103. We stayed there 10 years ago for our honeymoon and decided to stay there again for our 10 year anniversary. We experienced roaches in the unit especially in the bathroom. They were still there even after the routine spray on 9/14. We will see you next year but in a different unit.

Great condo but few things to know before you rent

If you rent through VRBO you do not get the chairs rentals on the beach (extra $240)... you get 4 towels, 4 wash cloths and face towels- there is a linen exchange twice a week... washers and dryers are on 2 floors ($2.50 to wash $1.75 to dry)... we loved the ground floor unit, the air conditioner kept the condo COLD at 70 degrees, we loved not have it to keep up with a key (keypad on door and for gate entry) Bery family friendly place to stay- we will be back for sure

Beautiful Beach Location

The beach and amenities were all great. Office staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the tennis and shuffle board. The rental unit itself left some to be desired. The furniture was old and dated. The fake greenery through out was gross. The kitchen was not very well supplied...mix matched cheap utensils and dishes. There were magazines from 2015!!

Early Fall Retreat

My wife and I took a early fall trip to Destin where we stayed at HSR club. We've been vacationing there for over forty years. The staff is great to work with and very professional! The beach was surprisingly crowded but spaced out where we felt safe.

Holiday Surf 103

The experience was a much needed break from life. The location of the rental and convenience of first floor was my first time on first floor this year. The sprinkler system needs to be adjusted in time that it goes off. The shuffleboard court gets wet and players sprayed as early as 8:00 pm. I would suggest a later time, 11:00 pm or later. I tracked in grass to condo and it was everywhere. I huge distraction to my relaxation because of extra unnecessary clean up. The condo is in desperate need of updates. The beds move across the floor easily. The red sofa is less than soothing, fridge opens in awkward position, disposal not working well. My friends stayed in 105 and the colors and decor soothed the soul as much as the Emerald waters of Destin. I’ve been visiting Holiday Surf for many years and really have few complaints. The beach was beautiful, chair service great, pool clean.

We have stayed in this unit for several years.
The unit is in need of updates. The bedding has been the same for several years and is worn,
The piece of carpet glued down is very dirty. the overall unit needs updating.The outdoor furniture needs replaced.I would only recommend this unit if it was updated.

Overall it was a very good experience...Had some issures just getting in the door, there was a smell because the air wasn't on and probably had been empty for awhile...this condo could use some updating which makes it seem old...but was clean and we enjoyed ourselfs once we got settled.

Spring Break Stay

Condo was nicely appointed and we enjoyed our stay. We have stayed at Holiday Surf for about the last 10 years. We love the area but concerns arise with the jump in prices every single year. We will probably be looking for another vacation spot next year. Since the renovations have been done in the lobby area, prices have risen every single year making it almost impossible for us to return.

Thank you for your feedback. Prices did increase slightly , as rates are reviewed routinely. We do feel that it was warranted for all of the amenities we provide. Please check back to see if we are offering any promotions. We do hope you will reconsider coming back to HSRC.

Walkout to the beach

It was amazing! Clean, spacious, beds were comfortable as was the pullout couch. Family of 4 really enjoyed the stay. Front desk very helpful, the guys helping with chairs and umbrellas were friendly and helpful. It was reasonably priced compared to other places. Lots of dolphins at sunrise, beach was awesome. Bathroom was small and laundry on 4th floor. Met all our needs.

We have no complaints about our month long stay.
It was great to hear the ocean whenever we oened the patio,the beach was a very short walk away.
The apartment was clean .Bedding needs to be updated it is pretty dull and fabric very worn.
We were there in February and there is little or nothing to do.location was great the complex quiet.Charcoal BBQ were much appreciated.Wish the beach chairs were on the beach before March -1st for us snowbirds.

Great experience, clean room, and wonderful ladies at check in.

Check in was fabulous. The two ladies who helped us were very friendly, helpful, and had a great sense of humor. The place was exactly as advertised. We didn't really do anything but spend the night there but everything was great. The walk to the beach is very very short. Wish we could have spent more time on that particular beach, but we were fishing most of the time. It had a good starter set of the things you need, but you will have to get more paper goods and trash bags if you stay for long or use those things up. We didn't use hardly anything. The ONLY suggestion for the management company would be to add a few coffee filters in with the welcome kit. To travelers..grab your coffee, creamer, and filters before you get there if you are a late arrival. Also, grab a $3 bag of ice at the front desk because it takes a looooong time for the ice maker to make any amount of ice. There is only one Cox cable remote that we could find. Wasn't a problem with us because we only watch one television at a time, but it's good to know if you have someone who will be using the pull out bed in the living room. One last thing, but like I said..you get what you see in the pictures. This is the first beach house we've stayed at that doesn't even resemble a beach house in the decorations. All in all..we got exactly what we thought we were getting, so no complaints. The ladies at the front desk are great to work with, even though I jokingly accused them of running a mafia racket with their ice. I think they split my $3 between the three of them and retired to some tropical island somewhere. :) Highly recommend this place or at least somewhere in this building. KUDOS to the folks who work here.

GREAT STAY

THERE WAS ONLY TWO ISSUES, ONE THERE WAS A HOLE IN THE SCREEN AND RATS GOT ON THE DECK AND RAT DROPPINGS WAS EVERYWHERE, I TOLD THE STAFF AND THEY SENT SOMEONE TO CLEAN IT UP IMMEDIATLY, NOT ENOUGH OF TOWELS, BUT AGAIN ASKED THE STAFF AND THEY PROVIDED US WITH MORE, WITH US CHECKING IN ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT, LINEN IS ON MON AND THURS....THIS IS OUR SECOND YEAR TO STAY AND WILL BE BACK, LOVE THE PLACE
