Holiday Surf and Racquet Unit 618

Completely remodeled unit is farmhouse fabulous. We took this unit down to the studs, and then brought it back to life in a coastal farmhouse style we are sure you will enjoy. And yes we have shiplap!

You are greeted into our unit by a one of a kind 4-foot mermaid work of art!

The kitchen features custom painted cabinets, white upper cabinets and grey lower cabinets, quartz counter-tops, and all new stainless steel appliances. The appliances include: a refrigerator, a double oven range, an over-the-counter microwave, and a dishwasher. This kitchen is well appointed for those who would prefer to cook. We have included a toaster, blender, griddle, crock-pot, cookware, and even a Keurig. However, this unit is well situated to enjoy the fine dining establishments Destin has to offer!

The dining room has a unique zinc top table with seating for 6. Overhead lighting with a chandelier and 2 pot lights hidden within a wood beam, as well as a custom hutch, add to the farmhouse feel. We have even included handmade seahorses to keep you company while you dine. While a large mirror reflects the ocean view!

The living area easily seats 7, and has a second overhead beam that conceals 3 pot lights to continue the theme. The living room includes a 65-inch TV mounted on shiplap with wall sconce lighting. Handmade custom drapes, artwork and accessories complete the appearance.

There are 2 master suites, both feature king size beds and a 5 star hotel mattress.There is also a queen air mattress. Rustic furniture and custom bedding were carefully selected for a luxury retreat feeling. Each bedroom contains a 55-inch TV mounted to the wall, a large closet, and a dresser with a couple of end stands. An iron and ironing board are included in the unit as well as extra pillows and blankets.

Each bathroom features unique glass tile, quartz counter tops and a shower. One has a walk-in shower, while the other offers a tub with a handmade shower curtain to match the drapes. To complete the farmhouse feel, a true vintage barn door provides entrance into one of the bathrooms.

But the best feature of them all is the view! The view of the ocean from the 6th floor balcony is breathtaking!

Rental unit was superb with only one exception....the handle on the pantry door across from the island in the kitchen is a railroad spike. It needs to be changed because it protrudes into the walkway to the living room area and can cut or bruise your elbow or arm if you're not careful walking past it.

This Will Be Our Room From Now On When We Visit!

The room and view was amazing. This is by far the best room we have stayed in at this location. Will be returning soon to this room. We did have an issue with the bed in the master bedroom but guest services had it repaired quickly. The two things I would say needs updating about this room is the showers need detachable sprayers. Sand does not wash off little ones easy. The room needs a cordless hardfloor vacuum. I like to keep our unit tidy while staying and it is impossible to get all of the sand from the floor. Other than that this room is perfect. Two king size beds with two bathrooms.

Perfect Family Vacation

I almost don't want to tell you about how great this place is because I want to keep this gem all to myself. Truly, we had a magical vacation in this property, and I can't wait to come back. I kept waiting to find something wrong with the place, but there isn't. The property was very family oriented, and has direct beach access. The unit is perfectly appointed, with tupperware, wonderful fridge, all the appliances you need. Water pressure was perfect. Beds were comfortable. When we had an issue with the cable, the maintenance crew was up within hours to fix. Free DVD rentals on property, the elevators were quick. There's laundry on the same floor as this unit for longer stays. We were right at home, and you will be too!

We spent two months in this unit. It is nicely updated. Kitchen had everything we needed, even new containers for leftovers which was really appreciated. Great view and lots of afternoon sun on the balcony. We booked it for two months next winter already. Great place to stay!

A Room with a View... and the Sound of the Waves

My family loved our stay. A key criteria was a good view of the ocean and we had it. Surprisingly, the waves were even relatively loud from the balcony and open window! The building is older, but the maintenance and remodeling have been top notch. Desk workers and other guests were friendly. We will hopefully be back.

Love staying on Holiday Isle! Have stayed at a few other rental properties on the Isle but this is the best! The unit we stayed in was very tastefully decorated with beautiful furnishings! Access to the beach is easy! The pool and pool area always nice and clean! Tennis courts and shuffleboard courts look top notch but did not play! Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful beach and relaxing atmosphere

November is the perfect time of year to visit. Not too hot on the beach and not cold! No crowds and the weather was perfect! The seashells were plentiful and the views were beautiful! Great Family Vacation Spot

Great overall experience with condo staff and unit itself. Check-in was right at 4 pm. We arrived early but room was ready. Gave us time to grocery shop. The proximity to ocean is great. There are 2 elevators servicing the building. The 1 major knock is no in-unit washer/dryer. They are by elevators on every other floor. Good for us they were on the 6th floor where we stayed. The unit is newly renovated and looks great. 2 master beds and 1 queen blow up. Also a lot of couch space that could easily sleep 3 more people. The amenities were great. Pool, tennis, shuffle board, movie rentals for the kids on the 1 rainier day. We’d certainly stay in same unit again

Canopies!!

I have been staying at HSRC for over 7 years. I have always enjoyed staying there. I was a little disappointed this year. First was our delayed check in. We were unable to check in until almost 5:30, even though we arrived around noon. In the past the staff has been really good about getting us in our room before the check in time when we arrive early. The most disappointing thing was being told we couldn't set up canopies on the beach. I have always been courteous and set up behind everyone. We had 10 people in our group and needed the shade. This would be a deal breaker for me staying there in the future. I pay a lot of money to stay there, and there is plenty of beach to allow for canopy set up. I result hope this changes before I come back, because I would really like to stay there in the future.

Our condo was perfect! It was clean and supplied with all necessities. We had a beautiful view of the ocean. All the furniture and beds were very comfortable. Even the outside deck furniture was comfortable. The location was quiet but convenient to shopping and restaurants. My only complaint would be the weather because it was cooler than I would have liked but I realize no one has control of the weather!

Spring Break

We had a great stay at the Holiday Surf & Racquet Club for spring break this year. Our unit was exceptionally clean and decorated beautifully. We appreciated the comfortable furnishings and the high-end finishes throughout the condo. One suggestion would be to provide instructions for how to use the TVs and DVD player. My husband almost had a heart attack not being able to figure out how to turn it on for the NCAA tournament. But we called maintenance and they responded VERY quickly and were able to get us set up in time for tip-off.

The beach area is stunning, and the heated pool was very nice in the mornings while it was still a bit too cool for the beach. The DVD rentals in the lobby were a great touch for evening entertainment for the kids, as well. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at the HSRC again and would definitely stay in unit 618 again, as well!

Coming for 30 years to Holiday Surf and Racquet Club

Our family has always loved Holiday Surf and Racquet Club. So even when we moved to California, we returned with children and grandchildren. Both of the condos we had were very nice but the people are the game changer. From the helpful people at the front desk to Scott on the beach, they all did their best to make our trip memorable. Property location is great.
All staff were helpful and professional.
The room did not appear to be thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. There was popcorn and soda lids on the living room floor and the bathroom/shower did not appear to have been cleaned.

Overall experience was good. It did take the refrigerator about 24 hrs. to get really cold. We called maintenance about it but they never showed up so since it eventually got cold we did not call back. The unit needs some updating, the blinds have slats missing and the tub grout was discolored. Otherwise, we would return to Holiday Surf and Racquet Club.
